When you work with brides for a living part of the fun is seeing how very different each individual is when it comes to their personal style. I am lucky to experience how truly beautiful and unique each woman is through my work. Cara and John's wedding was the traditional fairytale romance that we all dream of as little girls. No detail was left unattended. Cara along with her beautiful mother planned every aspect of this dream wedding down to the Cinderella horse drawn carriage that whisked the happy couple away once they said their I do’s.

My thought process for Cara’s makeup was simple and natural. Less was more in this case and it was a breeze bringing out her pretty features. Cara’s wedding day was extremely warm and the airbrush application was of the utmost importance to make sure her makeup did not smear or smudge. Mission accomplished thanks to the precision like technique, the MAC liquid foundation and secrets of the trade that only a true professional makeup application can achieve. I gave her a soft peach blush by Hourglass and subtle shadows all by Laura Mercier to offset her beautiful floral bouquet. I kept the lips soft and sweet using an amber rose hue also by Laura Mercier.

Spending the entire day with Cara  and her beautiful bridal party was a pleasure. I enjoyed doing makeup for the bride as well as the bride's cousin and Maid of Honor.

Ashely was a delight to work with from the moment we first communicated. She was extremely easy going but specific about the look she was envisioning for her special day. It is cliche to say that every bride wants to look beautiful because it is obvious. That is why they hire a professional, to take it up a notch by having their wedding day look be extraordinary.

With Ashley it was a piece of (wedding) cake. When I met her in person I could not help but be inspired by her doe eyes and silky skin. As some of you may all know by now, I have true and tried lines that I never stray from especially for bridal artistry. I played with Laura Mercier cream shimmer shadows in earth tones and perfected her skin with airbrushed MAC foundation. Everything was about softness and it was achieved with a few strokes of my brushes, added lashes for depth and a sweet Laura Mercier Tea Rose lip. The mother of the bride was amazing to work with as were her bridesmaids. I had so many beauty inspirations ranging from Anne Hathaway to Liza Minelli. It was pure joy to work with this group of ladies.

Thank you to Angela of One Love Hair and Zach Thomas Photography for helping capture the essence of the gorgeous bride that Ashely turned out to be. When a woman is as beautiful as she is, both inside and out, it is never difficult to perform my job. Ashley was the epitome of a Mediterranean Goddess bride!

Working with Kristy was fulfilling in more ways than one. She was sweet and easy going and wanted to look classically beautiful on her wedding day. Her request was that we keep the make light, airy and simple. She wanted to look like herself, not a different version of herself. Beautiful on her own, (How many gorgeous women are there in North Florida?) I kept it minimalistic. A light mist of MAC foundation was airbrushed on to her skin. Laura Mercier cream shadows were blended to achieve the perfect golden rose hue for her lids. I swept a coat of eyeliner to add depth to her lash line using light handed strokes. It was all about "less is more" for Kristy. A generous coat of Dior Iconic Mascara and a soft and pretty pink lip completed her soft and natural wedding day look.

Kristy's wedding was a vintage fairytale made in modern day heaven. From the gorgeous banners, to the fabric made bouquets, (Etsy.com of course!) every detail made a huge impact on what ended up being a story book wedding. This was one of the most adventurous wedding parties I have worked with to date. What a fun group they were! My favorite was the "tie around the head" tradition that had previously been started by the groom and was incorporated into their own reception. I guess I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I love when a bride does not take herself too seriously and makes it a point to have a good time. After all, it is one of her most memorable moments in life. Not only did she have a blast, she looked effortlessly glamorous in the process!

How do you make an already gorgeous bride even more beautiful? You give her lashes for days, eyes that can stop traffic and a smooth and creamy complexion that's reminiscent of peaches and cream. Courtney really shopped around for the ideal makeup artist. After much consideration, she graciously chose I Love Her Makeup as her St. Augustine, FL bridal makeup artistry service. I of course could not have been more smitten.

She loved the idea of enhancing her best features without looking overly done. Courtney was a bit anxious about her mild adult acne. As I always tell my clients, I have yet to see a skin "issue" that the airbrush application can not handle... In the end, the result was less than stellar. Along with her Jessica Simpson inspired bridal hair (by Bobbie at Mahela Salon), I used bronze and copper tone Laura Mercier shadows to bring out her AMAZING blue eyes. We softly contoured her brows with a MAC soft blonde brow product. She was so excited by the way this small but often overlooked detail helped to pull her look together. A Tea rose pout created an overall sultry yet sophisticated take on wedding day beauty.

Raychel was Courtney's Maid of honor and was as thorough as was the bride when it came to what she wanted.. Along with Courtney, Raychel helped carefully select my services ensuring that they received the best quality wedding day beauty expertise in town. Looking at her I knew my job was going to be a blast. I worked her eyes with a turquoise blue liner and added lush lashes to accentuate and enlarge. We also focused on bringing out her barely there brows and all though reluctant at first, she could not have been more pleased. It's all about making the features come to life in a "natural" manner. For this look, I opted for a pale pink lip and finished her off with subtle contouring using a Guerlain bronzer, a product to which I am addicted. What a blast it was to work with Courtney and Raychel.

I got the chance to work with Goldei, one of my funnest and adventurous brides to date. Goldei was outgoing and extremely flirty. I have to say that I love working with women who embrace their sexuality and exude confidence. Goldei was certainly that. Not only was I able to be extra creative when it came to her makeup, I was given the opportunity to work with an amazing photographer, Gene Ho of Gene Ho Photography. What an amazing talent he is. Gene was kind enough to send me this sneak peak into to Goldei and Brent's wedding this past weekend. Goldei kept saying to me "This is my dream wedding!" I was honored she allowed me to be part of this very special day. There was certainly magic in the air. Before and afters will definitely follow. Kim's Bella Bay Inn/White Room Wedding

For Kim's initial contact with me her fiance (yes, her fiance) actually made all of the arrangements. He wanted to make sure she was not too overwhelmed with all of the details and planning. Could your heart just melt? We coordinated hair appointments as well as the setting up of her preview and ultimately scheduling the makeup for their highly anticipated wedding day. What a sweet gesture on the handsome groom's part and a glimpse into what was yet to be one very romantic story about a couple getting ready to embark on the rest of their lives together.

For her big day we deviated slightly from her bridal preview. I made sure to soften her eyes making sure her look was soft and feminine while still keeping her looking sultry. I used Laura cream shadows and a Trish McEvoy chocolate liner. I kept her eye palette within the bronzey, earth tone shades and ingrained a bit of rose and golden hues. Amethyst lips and bright cheeks made her look awake and refreshed.

I love working on the bridal party just as much as the bride. They each should should have their own individuality's brought forward while still maintaining the overall look the bride is going for.
I kept Kim's sister fresh and pretty with a simple approach, enhancing her beautiful deep brown eyes. I used a black winged liner and lightly sprayed her skin even with a MAC liquid foundation.
Her lips were swept with a creamy pink blend of lipstick and sealant gloss.

Kim's step daughter was extremely excited to get her makeup done. Doing makeup on little ones is always so much fun. I kept it girlish and soft for this future glamor darling in the making. A smidgen of clear mascara to magnify her grassy green eyes and a pinkish lip bitten look to keep her youthful. She had as much fun as I did during our glam session together.

Kim's bridal preview was equally lovely. She ultimately walked down the aisle as one breathtaking
bride.

Beth's Flagler Beach, Fl Wedding

Beth's sister contacted me as part of her thorough quest for the perfect artist. She was clear and precise about what Beth wanted for her upcoming wedding. After much research and consideration they decided to hire me as Beth's makeup artist but unfortunately I was unavailable. After a bit of resistance on their part to accept defeat, I found a way to squeeze Beth in for her early winter evening beach wedding . I am so glad that I did not pass up the opportunity to work with Beth and her beautiful sister. They were both enlightening individuals that fill the room with beautiful energy the moment you meet them.

Beth was concerned about her skins uneven tone and was a bit self conscious about it. I helped ease her concerns assuring her that the airbrushed foundation application was the way to go. She of course needed to see the results to believe it. Not only was I right about the results, Beth turned out to be a spectacularly beautiful bride. What a bombshell!

I used all Laura Mercier from the shadows to the lips. I also applied my precision camouflaging approach rather than smothering her skin in layers of foundation just to even her out. It makes no sense to hide gorgeous skin under layers of makeup to achieve a flawless finish. As you can see the "less is more" approach works if you know the right techniques. I gave the apples of her cheeks a color wash of peach and her lips a creamy amaretto hue. Not only was she beautiful on the inside, but with a dash of infused glamor she turned out to be equally beautiful on the outside. Beth was hands down my Bombshell Bride!

Denise- St. Augustine, FL Casa Monica Wedding

Denise was stationed in Afghanistan when she booked my services almost one year in advance. She would be having a large, romantic wedding at the Casa Monica hotel in St. Augustine. When we met in person, Denise was so easy going and laid back so working with her was a breeze. I wanted to make Denise a glamorous bride and was able to achieve her look with a variety of fab products from lines such as La Prairie, Laura, MAC and Dior. Her skin was made to look impeccable with my go to airbrush technique.

I used a smoky La Prairie eye pallete that just popped those gorgeous caramel eyes of hers. So many makeup artists use that phrase "pop the eyes". What that really means is that the eyes are more vibrant and awake. The already gorgeous features are beautifully enhanced. I also used various highlighting and contouring techniques that were essential in achieving her finished look. I used a golden bronzer and colorful cheek combining the look with mocha lips.

For her lovely bridesmaids the same approach was taken. Such a sweet group of ladies that were there to share the moment with Denise. It was truly a pleasure working with Denise. A day spent making her beautiful for her special moment was a day well worth it.

Tara's World Golf Village - St. Augustine, FL Wedding

You might recognize Tara and her handsome husband from past seasons of the Bachelor Rome and the Bachelorette. All though neither found love on their respective shows, their story is touching in that they found each other because of the very popular reality TV series. Their wedding day was what fairytales are made of.

Tara contacted me just weeks before her 400 guest wedding was to take place at the Slammer and Squire golf course. When I got to meet Tara I was appeased to hear that she knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. I immediately related to her being that as a consumer myself, I too know exactly what I want.

We played with various earth tone shades until she decided on a specific palette. I used Bobbi Brown taupe shadows, a Laura Mercier mahogany liner and a soft and subtle pink Hourglass blush. I always suggest to my clients that they refrain from doing any type of skin care procedure no less than two weeks before their wedding. Unfortunately, Tara had a negative reaction and was worried that her skin would be less than perfect, Naturally, she requested the airbrush application and I made sure that her complexion was left even and silky smooth. It really is amazing the results that this technique can achieve.

Being that Tara's was the most anticipated wedding of the year in St. Augustine, the pressure was on. I was just happy that I could help ease her concerns when it came to flawless make up. She had so many other things that she needed to focus on, like being a picturesque bride.

She was pretty easy going and just wanted to feel pretty and fresh for her wedding day. I used the airbrushed MAC foundation application and played with my fav Laura Mercier cream shimmer shadows for soft contouring. I played up Melissa's amazing eyes with a deep khol black turquoise liner and smudged deep into her lash line. She had really great lashes on her own so we opted out of adding additional ones. A pink/coral bronzer quad by Guerlain gave her that fresh face finish I was aiming for and to finalize, a gorgeous amethyst lip also by Laura Mercier. She loved the finish product and even decided to add some of the products we used to her everyday makeup repertoire.

When Katie asked me to do her wedding without ever meeting me I was a bit nervous. It was obvious the moment I met her that being her makeup artist for her uber romantic wedding would be more fun than work. Katie and I have similar tastes and so I really understood her vision. I played up her gorgeous eyes with a deep Laura Mercier cake liner to frame her face making sure to not leave harsh or sharp lines....Smudging was key. Everything else just fell into place. The shadows used were warm earth tones and the blusher a soft apple. With such well defined lips a neutral lip was what made her look complete.
